Well it breaks my heart, we're living in a lie And you know, sweetheart, we're living in a lie Well, I know we've been, living in sin Yes, you know we've been, living in sin Well, I tell you, love. We're living in a lie. But I can't get enough. We're living in a lie. You know we've been, living in sin. Yes, I know we've been, living in sin. Oh, I wanna be Your family So tell me, dear Will you marry me? Alright. I gotta get a ring but I don't got the money tonight. Well it makes me cry, we're living in a lie. Does it make you cry, we're living in a lie. Oh, we just can't win, living in sin. No we just can't win, living in sin. But I want you love, living as my wife. Yes I want you love, living as my wife. I love you boy, we gotta get it right. Oh, I love you girl, we gotta get it right.

Cold was the morning air As Jack and I repaired to our bedroom. I closed the door and Jack bled upon the floor A thick dark blood Came oozing from his wound. He coughed in pain and then he turned to smile at me The bright red blood flashed crimson on his teeth He said, my love, I've done it now I love you, sugar, but you've gotta flee. Nanny Belle, she only frowned, she took my hand and kissed me on the lips I kissed her hard but When I looked upon her face, my blood had left an imprint of our kiss. She said, my love, you know that I will never go, I'm with you and you alone, darling. There must be a doctor near So let me find and bring him here toot sweet. Bang, bang went the gun that shot the lawman dead, He was gone before he hit the floor. But not before he fired a shot That ricochet'd away The bullet danced around the room Til Pleasant Jack, he cried out in dismay. And that's where the story ends, At least for you and me my stalwart friends This ballad of Pleasant Jack and Nanny Belle Two lovers caught 'twixt firmament and hell. Two outlaws in the eyes of some But others see Two people who were truly living free And it's not for us, my friends, to say Who is right and who has gone astray.

Keep on walking by me, keep on walking. I don't need your stupid lies like I did before. If I don't see you on the run, I'm gonna grab my daddy's gun And I won't be seeing you anymore. You made a fool of me for the last time. You brought that woman 'round, I nearly lost my head You are dead to me, but you're not half as dead as your'e gonna be If I see you coming 'round, ever again. All those nights when you didn't come back home And you left me there, drinking til the break of dawn Well, it's a funny thing, looking back Those were the greatest nights that we ever had And I plan on a hell of a lot more now that you're gone. I took you back far too many times When you would feed me one of your silly lines You say, "I'm sorry, dear." Well, I'm sorry too That I wasted so much time on you I've got a lot better use of my time, now that we're through. You left me with a big stack of bills to pay But I've been saving up for just such a rainy day But it's not going to beer, it's not going to gas But to two big guys who're gonna kick your ass And that is worth just about every penny I saved. Yes, indeed, you are still good looking I can't deny what we both know to be true. But I can tell you, boy, that it don't mean shit 'Cause you ain't got brains and you ain't got wit And I thank my lucky stars I'm finished with you.
4.
I'm gonna break your heart I'm gonna let you down I'm gonna walk away I'm gonna fool around. I'm gonna tell you lies I'm gonna be untrue I'm gonna make you cry I'm gonna come unglued. So what'cha, what'cha, what'cha gonna do? You better run away. You better run and hide. You better make your escape. You better run away. You better run away. You better run and hide. You better make your escape. Doo-do, doo-do, doo-do, doo-do You better run away!

Ten Til Five 03:44
Watching the clock makes it go slow And this is something that we all know But we do it any way, oh, we do it all day On Friday. And when the clock hits 10 til five Oh, we all start to come alive We're finally getting free Of our workday misery On Friday. So meet us at the bar Oh we're gonna hit it hard On Friday (chorus) There's nothing we must do Til Monday comes around for me and you. There's nowhere we must go So pour another drink, and don't you dare think about going home. Clocking in and clocking out Oh, that's not what living's about But you would never tell From the bosses raisin hell Most everyday. Oh, we work hard, harder than most But we're not the sort that likes to boast Oh, we just get it done, and we put off having fun Til Friday So meet us at the bar Oh, we're gonna hit it hard On Friday. (chorus) (bridge) Let's raise a glass for friends not with us Let's make a toast to all who miss us Let's sing a song for days remembered Let's sing along, and drink to better days. Oh, la di da! (chorus)
6.
Let's steal a car, let's pick a very fast one And let's drive it hard, let us find the edges of the map, my dear And let's get outta here. Let's grab a spoon and tunnel to the center of the earth we knew The one we used to dream of Oh, the world that we always knew could be. Oh, let us go. Come with me. (chorus) And when we stop, we'll look around and we'll say, "Here be dragons." And in that place we'll make our home, and we'll be, oh we'll be married. And when the world comes crashing in, and you are so very saddened. I'll simply point outside and smile, and remind you, "Here be dragons." Let's take some sheets and fashion a balloon that we can fill with heat And rise up to the moon where we will sit pretty, underneath the stars. Let's lash some logs together for a raft and we will sail the seas, negotiating crashing waves, just you and me, together til the end. Oh, this is now. And that was then. (chorus) Let's go by train, the clicking and the clacking, like a soothing rain, washing all our woes away, and every mile, leads to somewhere new. Let's stay right here, underneath the covers, let me love you, dear Let me be your lover, let me hold on tight, and never let go. Oh-oh. Oh-oh. Never let go. (chorus)

Verse 1 Let me tell you about a girl, the love of my life And all the the things a man must do to make a girl his wife. Oh I asked her if she'd marry me But she shook her bonny head She looked me up and down and then she said. Let's be honest, Pleasant Jack, we both know who you are. You're a very charming lad, but with you, my family'd starve. Oh I can't feed them with a smile, 'cause smiles don't get us fed. So get those silly thoughts out of your head. Well there weren't much work around when I was a younger man. But I knew I loved you, Nanny Belle, so I came up with a plan. I grabbed my momma's gun, and the bullets I did take And I went to town to rob me a bank. Chorus I would walk through fire for you. I would kill a man if you asked me to Oh can't you see? There's no one that loves you More than me. Verse 2 Back then I was just a very wide-eyed little girl. Living in a small town, I knew nothing of the world. There was some excitement, on that autumn day, Some masked desperado robbed a bank. As I walked into the bank, my heart, it did fall But then I thought of Nanny Belle and it strengthened my resolve I walked up to the counter brandishing my gun Saying, "Gimme all you got, don't test me son." As I went to bed that night, there was a knock on my window. It was Pleasant Jack, with a smile so wide, saying "Darling, I love you so." And then he held up bags of cash, the biggest I'd ever seen. He took a little bow and then he said to me. (Chorus) Bridge There's nothing I won't do, for you. I love you so. Oh, you silly fool, what'd you do? Get inside. Third Verse The coppers were hot on my trail, I had so little time. I reached out to my Nanny Belle, she placed her hand in mine. She said, "My foolish, darling boy, you know that you can't hide. She kissed me on the cheek and went outside. The policemen, oh he said to me, "We know you're hiding him. Unless you want to share a cell we suggest you turn him in." At that very moment, it was then I realized, I had to go back in and say goodbye. Nanny Belle returned to me with a very furrowed brow. She took my hand and said, "My love, oh we're in it now." She turned to her family and with a smile she said, "You never have to worry, I'll keep you fed." 2nd Bridge So I said (spoken) Oh, you silly fool, what'd you do? What'd you do? There's nothing I won't do, for you. Now let's run. Chorus x2
8.
Oh, don't you raise your voice to me. I said I'd get it done and I will soon. Well, sweetheart, you promised me a year ago And still you're singing that old tired tune. Oh, let's just call it quits. Oh, it never seems to end. Oh, we never seem to get along. Yeah, let's just end it now. It's too late to make amends. What felt so right now feels so wrong. I used to love you, lover, but somehow I don't know where my lovin's gone. Your clothes are strewn about our room Even though I've asked a thousand times Oh, you wanna talk cleanliness, now do you? Cause you ain't washed a dish in your lifetime. Oh, let's just give it up. It's more trouble than it's worth. Oh, we never seem to get along. Oh, let's throw in the towel Yeah, let's just end it now What felt so right now feels so wrong. I used to love you, lover, but somehow I don't know where my lovin's gone. How did our love get so small? How did our hearts grow so hard? My hardened heart will fall apart Without you. Let's never call it quits. Oh, let us never end. Let us find a way to get along. Well, sure, it might be tough As tough as anything But the struggle only makes us strong Let's never give us up Let's never give up on us The way we feel just can't be wrong. And even though we fight Sometimes like cats and dogs My love for you is always strong. I'll always love you, lover. I will always love you, lover. It's with you that I belong.

This story takes place through Buttermilk Junction Situated in Shannon County, MO This is how it goes. On route 60 we were flying, riding high in a stolen Little 9. Jack's hand in mine. Some would call us outlaws But we felt like Queen and King We could do anything. It was about a quarter past midnight When we noticed headlights in the mirror They were gettin' near. Nanny Bell pulled her .38 She smiled at me and joked, "Don't you know, it ain't too late to visit Mexico." Pleasant Jack, he only laughed, and said "what would we do old Mexico? We don't hablo the espanol." And besides darlin' (chorus) This is where we wanna be, right out on the edge Makin' love and setting fires and rolling dice with death And there's no one that I'd rather do it with. Oh there's no one but you. Let's just drive through the night, Nanny Bell said as she lit a cigarette We ain't there yet. Pleasant Jack flashed his brightest smile and said, "Darlin' we got miles and miles to go. Til we find home." (chorus)

about

Recorded at Mike TV and Katy K's home studio in Austin, TX. These 9 songs are a collection of demos recorded by Katy and Mike. Because it is a small home studio, they did not have the ability to record drums, thus Ryan's contributions to these tracks are missing. The band plans to get into the studio as a full five-piece over the coming months to record their first full-length record. In the meantime, enjoy these complimentary tracks.
