It was the longest wait that Mister Layne E, G#m, F#m, A 2x (into)
Had ever sat through. E, G#m, F#m, B 2x
A, B, E,
Waiting there on the doctor's word A, F#m, E
What could he do? (chorus)
C#m, G#m 3x
Something was wrong inside of his head push to B (2x whole thing)
Something quite bad, he knew, resolve on A
It was the longest wait that he had waited through. Bridge
A, G#m, B, C#m, Ebdim, E, B, C#m
There's nothing that we can do, A, E, B, C#m
The doctor explained resolve on E
There's no malignant growth, there's no cancer there
Your neural pathways are frayed
The wires that connect your head to your body
Well, they're gonna decay
Your gonna die soon,
I'm sorry, Mister Layne.
"Are you kidding me?
How could this even be?
I've got so much life
So much life in me.
You say I'm gonna die
But How could that be right
I know I'm filled with life,
So much life in me.
How could this possibly...?
How could this awful thing
How could it possibly be?
So Mister Layne climbed in his car
And started to drive
He wandered to and fro,
He never slowed as he was putting on miles.
Hour to hour, he drove around
In a fog of his own disquiet
Here he was, on the open road
alive
So let's fast forward, some many weeks
And he is struggling to simply speak
And his muscles twitch quite constantly
Which is exhausting, he's so damn tired.
And every week there's some new thing
That he just can't do, and every week
There's some new insult, some little loss
Some price not yet paid, some unthought cost.
Sebastian, hands down, is one of the most singular and passionate and skilled songwriters I have ever known. Like, if you know me at all, you know that those are the three metrics that matter. Get Set Go
Eric's music is everything you could ever want from someone that knows all the tiny bits about how music is made and still says, fuck it, I'm making MY music. I have learned so much from him. Get Set Go
John's newest record is the only album I have encountered that is trying to grapple with the idea that machines are taking over, and we're pretty okay with that. And that is pretty darn awesome! Get Set Go

I love how quickly it gets chaotic and they're singing different stuff on top of each other. Great to hear another voice singing with Mike TV. Not even jealous because it's so good and so different than anything else I've heard from him before but equally infectious. Production is top notch too. Love the dueling solos. There's a lot of gotdamn music in here. Sebastian A. Bach
